Two way radio test
Tested: Durbanville, on foot, buit up area, not line of sight.
We tested the Motorola TLKR T5 and the HYT TC 320 to see the difference in quality of sound and range with a specific intention of which one would work better on a motorbike.
We found the Motorola TLKR T5 to be easy to use and like the fact that you can use conventional or rechargeable batteries and the battery charger is a twin pack so both units charge from 1 charger at the same time. The antennae is shaped as such that it allows you to use as a hook which is great for attaching to anything, very handy and convenient and prevents it getting lost. The motorola TLKR T5 once we had a distance of 1 km was still 5-5 but as that increased the level dropped to 3/5 which was still acceptable for hiking, 4 x 4ing and the leisure market but not for use on a motorbike. The range and clarity on the HYT TC320 was amazing, it remains crystal clear at above 2 kms even. Its 5/ 5 with regards to distance and quality of sound. A perfect affordable two way radio for the motorbike application where sound quality is of the utmost importance.
